Description
This is the consummate Beach House where memories are made. A custom designed home right on the beach in historic Dungeness with a full 360 degree view of the beautiful bay and gorgeous Olympic mountains. An expansive deck almost touches the bulkhead on the beach and the New Dungeness Lighthouse seems only steps away. Inside, enjoy hardwood floors, wood-beamed ceilings downstairs, and cathedral ceilings upstairs. The gorgeous kitchen has decorative Mexican tile and a full view of the Olympic Mountains. Three bedrooms (master with king, second with queen and third with two twins), also a twin tucked into a nook in the upstairs "get away" room, two baths, gas fireplace, WIFI, SMART TV, VCR, laundry, fully equipped kitchen.
You can walk the beach in search of shells or just taking in the spectacular views. In the summer you can watch the cruise ships go by on their way to Alaska. When the fog rolls in, you can hear the unique sound of the ship's foghorns calling out to each other as they pass through the Strait of Juan de Fuca. At the beginning of 3 Crabs Road is the newly completed 3 Crabs Nearshore and Estuarine Restoration Project. This project restored the waterfront to an original state, opened up a fish bearing river, and created habitat. It is now a regular viewing spot for birdwatchers, nature lovers and photographers.

The location of this house is great. View from the kitchen is the snow capped Olympics and out the back is of course the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Watching the ships sail through was a lot of fun. Water comes right up to the bulkhead and the back deck. There are homes on both sides of this house, which isnt bad, just not as secluded as the pics may imply. Outside the house is okay, the grounds are not well kept. I noticed there is. $35 charge per day for bringing your pet for the extra cleaning, but there is a fair amount of hair left over from a light colored dog. Overall a great little house that we would stay in again. Thank you!

A gorgeous, quiet house with a stunning view, ocean waves crashing upon the rocks to lull you into a deep, relaxing sleep. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. This house has a nearly head on view of the Dungeness Lighthouse, and a beautiful view of the surrounding islands. We found ourselves in the living room, staying warm by the gas lit fire, listening to the Bose sound system play music from our phones. It was a great place to relax, read, draw, and play games. There is a rock sea wall that prevents the waves from crashing into the house, but that also means there's no easy access to the beach itself. For that, you can walk or drive about half a mile to the west where there is public access.

The property is just as advertised; our family had a great time over the Christmas holiday. The layout of the house is great - small enough to encourage togetherness but large enough for everyone to find a place to have space. Sitting in a chair with a book, cup of coffee and watching the waves, was one of my favorite activities. There is lots of areas to walk or jog; grocery store is 15 minutes away. The kitchen is very well equipped - everything you need to cook or bake and a great variety of dishware. In addition, the rooms are well sized, appointed and the beds are comfortable; lots of towels and blankets. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the attention to details that the owners/managers/cleaning service pay to this property.

Loved looking out at the views and all the seabirds and seals. The last day we were there a pod of orcas came by. They were quite far out but were easy to see through the powerful binoculars on the tripod in the living room. Very comfortable house. The rental agent was very helpful and easy to work with. Calling is the best way to contact him.

Everything was well prepared for us. Supplies were there, beds made, towels, including some beach towels, were there. Kitchen had all we needed. The very best was the location with a perfect view of the water! I did wish there was an easier access to the beach, but the rock wall certainly protects the property. We loved our family time in this property.

Great rental. Very beautiful setting. Very clean and well appointed. Loved being so close to the water - especially dramatic during high tide with a wind storm! A squeegee would help to clear the windows off. Had a little trouble with the TV situation but someone came to resolve. Plus the fireplace was really hard to light, which we let management know about. Enjoyed our stay and would come back

We were here four years ago. Great location, and issues from last time were fixed. Kitchen is fairly well-stocked, although the rubber spatulas tended to behead themselves. Good sharp knives. Beds comfortable. We will definitely return.
