Description
This is the consummate Beach House where memories are made. A custom designed home right on the beach in historic Dungeness with a full 360 degree view of the beautiful bay and gorgeous Olympic mountains. An expansive deck almost touches the bulkhead on the beach and the New Dungeness Lighthouse seems only steps away. Inside, enjoy hardwood floors, wood-beamed ceilings downstairs, and cathedral ceilings upstairs. The gorgeous kitchen has decorative Mexican tile and a full view of the Olympic Mountains. Three bedrooms (master with king, second with queen and third with two twins), also a twin tucked into a nook in the upstairs "get away" room, two baths, gas fireplace, WIFI, SMART TV, VCR, laundry, fully equipped kitchen.
You can walk the beach in search of shells or just taking in the spectacular views. In the summer you can watch the cruise ships go by on their way to Alaska. When the fog rolls in, you can hear the unique sound of the ship's foghorns calling out to each other as they pass through the Strait of Juan de Fuca. At the beginning of 3 Crabs Road is the newly completed 3 Crabs Nearshore and Estuarine Restoration Project. This project restored the waterfront to an original state, opened up a fish bearing river, and created habitat. It is now a regular viewing spot for birdwatchers, nature lovers and photographers.

We were here four years ago. Great location, and issues from last time were fixed. Kitchen is fairly well-stocked, although the rubber spatulas tended to behead themselves. Good sharp knives. Beds comfortable. We will definitely return.

Our family had an amazing time at this clean, comfortable home. The pictures dont do justice to the spectacular views at this property. We enjoyed watching cruise ships, bald eagles (one even perched on the house) and herons from the back deck. Sure, the bathrooms and kitchen could use a refresh and the deck could probably stand to be replaced but it doesnt take anything away from this amazing place. We hope to visit again!

Our family of 4 had a fantastic time together in this near-perfect home on the Strait. Watching the changing tides, bald eagles, herons and egrets from the huge back deck or the monster telescope inside, cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and napping on the cozy beds: we all had a great time. The street side of the house faces a meadow where geese rest and the mountains. The road leads to Hurricane Ridge for hiking, Lake Crescent for swimming and nearby Sequim for bakeries and shopping. Thank you for sharing this lovely spot with others!

This was a beautiful location for a post-Covid-19 reunion with our daughter! The cottage was well-appointed, quiet, and scenic. We enjoyed being able to conveniently explore Olympic National Park, as well as Port Townsend and charming Sequim. The Peninsula Taproom was a great spot to hang out while waiting for delicious takeaway from Salty Girls and Jose's. The Saturday farmers market hand pies were a sweet bonus! I can highly recommend a stay here!

I loved this place! When we arrived it was low tide and there was 500 ft of tidal mud flats in front of us, and at high tide, the water was 10 ft from the deck. There were thousands of marine birds feeding and chirping in an orchestra of a marine sanctuary. My favorite part was sitting on the deck in the sun and watching and listening to the birds. The house was beautifully neat and clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The sitting area was very comfortable. The best is hanging out on the deck. Very picturesque. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful long weekend at this house. The location is perfect - I love looking at the Olympics while cooked in the kitchen and at the water and Mt. Baker out back. The birds were very entertaining to watch, and we even had a surprise visit by a seal at high tide that came up right up to the house. The house was efficiently laid out, and we enjoyed the big telescope in the living room. We would love to come back in the future.

Clean and cosy with good TV setup. The beds are comfortable and the layout good for our four person family. The beach access requires climbing down the rock bulkhead so you need stable footing and is accessable only at lower tides. There is a public beach very close down the road as an alternative. The Dungeness Spit natural area is great and the drive through game farm was fun.
